Heidi’s post-graduate studies include instruction from Jeffrey Yuen, an
88th generation Taoist priest of the Jade Purity School, Lao Tsu sect.
Yuen is internationally recognized for his comprehensive knowledge of
classical Chinese medicine, acupuncture, herbalism, and qi gong. Her
training under Jeffrey Yuen has led her to highly effective treatments
for post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), emotional disharmonies,
stress, anxiety, and menstrual disorders.
Heidi has developed a specialty in orthopedic acupuncture, utilizing
leading-edge techniques to treat musculo-skeletal injuries. She has
studied extensively with Matt Callison, L.Ac., one of the profession’s
foremost experts in sports medicine. Her orthopedic treatments
incorporate Callison’s trigger and motor point therapies along with
customized applications of electro-therapy to relax muscles, stimulate
endorphin release, and reduce inflammation and swelling. These
techniques, combined with classical acupuncture therapies to address
underlying constitutional health, significantly reduce recovery time and
provide longer lasting results.
In 2008, Heidi was invited to join the team of top practitioners at
Whole Health Centers in Highlands Ranch CO. She is furthering her study
of the 5 element system of acupuncture, fertility enhancement, as well
as innovative approaches to diet and nutrition.

of BKS Iyengar’s long-time students and specialist in yoga care for
injuries. Heidi holds acupuncture licenses in California, Colorado,
